views on CMs; few late views of Hudson River
Valley said to exist but not verified; some pub.
by E.H. Ross, St. Louis, MO; also made SI
formats. Most views seen bear Newport address,
rarely Portsmouth. Apparently some conflict
existed between J.A. Williams & William A.
Williams over use of "Williams" name in Newport;
J.A. Williams views far more common. Listed
71-82 Newport but was active as early as 1859.
