Milford 85, first studio in tent. Largely
self-taught, worked first in tintypes, later
conventional photog. Worked both as people
photog. in Milford as summer resort, scenic
photog. in area, issued also as postcard format.
M. 90, had 6 children (5 boys, 1 girl Vera); all
children learned photog. by working in studio.
Active until death, then Vera took over business
& kept it going until 52. Daughter donated
3,000 negatives to Brigham Young Univ. Stereos
