Subscriptions Iain Stewart was born in Sheffield, England in 1967. He studied at the Edinburgh College of Art from 1985 through 2000. He has been a lecturer there since 1993 and continues to do so today. Along with Watermark, Iain is represented by both The Print Room and The Photographers’ Gallery in London, Julie Saul Gallery in New York City, Jackson Fine Arts in Atlanta, Georgia, and Gail Gibson Gallery in Seattle, Washington. His works are collected both publicly and privately by organizations such as The Center for Creative Photography in Tucson, Arizona, The Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center at the University of Texas in Austin, The Scottish National Portrait Gallery, The Collection of Sir Elton John, and the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, TX. His photos have appeared in many prestigious publications like The New York Times, The Village Voice, and Portfolio Magazine to name just a few. Iain’s work has been included in numerous group exhibitions since 1990 and his current exhibition here at Watermark will represent the tenth solo show of his career.
