He was a Guggenheim Fellow from 1949 to 1950 and used this period to document the streets and people of New York. Largely overlooked in photo-history until his rediscovery by curator Keith Davis. The Nelson-Atkins Museum in Kansas City exhibited his work in 2009.Preparing biographies
