Preparing biographies Captain Holder was attached to the Scots Fusilier Guards and thus would have had opportunities to travel. In the 1855 exhibition of the Photographic Society in London he contributed two waxed-paper views taken in France. Holder also exhibited in 1859 and 1860, but by then he was using collodion for views in England. No other photographic work by him is known. Roger Taylor & Larry J.
