Born Geneviève-Élisabeth Francart she married André-Adolphe-Eugène Disdéri in 1843. In 1848 they opened a daguerreotype studio at 42 rue du Château, Brest, France. When her husband left for Paris in 1852 she continued with a studio at 65 rue de Siam, Brest. In 1872 she opened a studio at 146 rue du Bac, Paris.
