Indian documentary photographer with her early work including portraits of portraits of India's urban middle and upper class families. She studied Visual Communication at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad (1980-1986) and Photojournalism and Documentary Photography at the International Center of Photography, New York (1987-1988). Her long term documentary project on her eunuch (Hijra) friend Mona Ahmed resulted in the book "'Myself Mona Ahmed" was published by Scalo with accompanying text by Mona.
