Many of his glass negs. are at the California State Library. B. 8/03/33 in Maryland; started as a miner, became musician, 50s-60s; 68 moved to San Francisco, learned photog. and entered into partnership with William N. Tuttle; they opened a studio in Eureka, CA until 11/70; after relocating in San Francisco, he formed a partnership with Timothy A. Sullivan; they operated as traveling photogs. mostly in the areas of Merced & Livermore; by early 80s, settled into Monterey where he was the resident photog. for Del Monte Hotel; operated a studio there until the late 90s; D. 1/17/03;
