Baltzy] Started photog. ÷57; had studio in Wooster, OH early 60s, served in CW. Came to Montreal 66 or 67, worked for J.G. Parks for over 2 years. Opened own studio in Montreal, early 68; studio burnt in 70. Made 87 stereoviews, 1 CDV, and 37 8" x 10" images for Notman on the Geological Survey of Canada expedition to British Columbia in 71 with John Hammond as assistant. Stereos of B.C. were pub. by Notman with no credit to Baltzly; Notman also pub. some of the 8" x 10" images on stereo card format. No views known under Baltzly's own imprint. Worked for Notman 5/70 to 8/77. 79 returned to US, managed Pack Bros. studio in Cambridge, MA; opened own studio there 82. B. Ohio, 35, D. 7/10/83. T.K. Treadwell & William C.
