French 19th medical photographer and a pioneer in x-ray photography. In 1878 he was hired as a medical photographer at the Salpêtrière Hospital in Paris. He was also a talented inventor and created cameras with multiple lenses for recording motion and he collaborated with Étienne-Jules Marey (1830-1904).Preparing biographies
