Documented the construction of the Statue of Liberty in France by sculpture Auguste Bartholdi. New York Public Library has the "Album de la construction de la Statue de la Liberté." (Catalog Call Number: MFZ (Fernique) 96-8086). He was also involved in photolithography, photogravure and founded and directed the "Etablissement de Reproductions Industrielles et de Photogravure" in Paris in 1872. He also collaborated with Prudent René-Patrice Dagron (1819-1900) on photomicroscopy for a pigeon post service in the French provinces.
