[1] Existed from ~00 to ~07, when it became the International Photographic Association, with CAMERA CRAFT magazine as its voice. It circulated amateur photos, including stereo, in albums; the 3 views seen by TKT are all from album 9, with #s to 20, and makers identified as Smith, Voit, and Overman. The work is good amateur quality, and the CMs are very professionally printed on the backs. G.C. Kirkland of Denver, CO is listed as Pres.; poss. related to photogs. George W. and Charles D Kirkland of Denver of the 70-00s. Fayette J. Clute of San Francisco is listed as Sec.; he is well-known as a major west-coast amateur. Dr. C.H. Gardner is listed as Director of the Stereoscopic Division, with addresses of The Marine Hospital both in Key West, FL and Galveston, TX; a C.H. Gardner is listed in Albany, NY at about this time period; relationship unknown. Views under the International Photographic Association, Stereoscopic Division, also scarce; good photographers like Julius Wendt of Albany, NY participated. For further info, SEE article by M.F. Carrick, STEREO WORLD Vol. 8, #4.
