Stereographs project Business locations Moline, IL, US [Rec.] Issued Colorscope cards, ~1960; scenes
are on two continuous strips of color
transparency film mounted in two long windows to
a card with no pull-down holes. A wheel at the
lower right corner of the viewer moved the card
down through the slot by friction. Cards
featured scenic and nature subjects. Also made
Magicolor, similar to Colorscope cards but
subjects were cartoons and children's stories.
These cards had pull-down holes punched in only
the lens side surface of the mount. A plunger
on the viewer engaged these openings to pull the
card down through the slot. T.K. Treadwell & William C. Darrah (Compiled by), Wolfgang, Sell (Updated by), 11/28/2003, Photographers of the United States of America, (National Stereoscopic Association) |
