Bradley & Rulofson arrived in Hawaii from San Francisco (February, 20, 1875) and took portraits of Hawaiian royalty and notables. In January 1877 there was an advertisement in the "Friend" for their "San Francisco Gallery".

views, etc. They were both active daguerreans
in CA during 50s; in 63 formed partnership,
taking over the R.H. Vance portrait studio;
became one of San Francisco's most prestigious
galleries, lasting until about 89; advt. that
they employed the most skillful artists and that
they had the only elevator connected with a
