In 2002, Wilson Scanlan opened Verve Gallery of Photography in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The gallery grew out of Scanlan’s web design company VerveLabs, which specializes in creating websites for artists working in all media. Verve Gallery of Photography showcases contemporary fine art photography.
Wilson has drawn on his technical background to develop an innovative and unique concept for exhibiting contemporary fine art photography at Verve. A state-of-the-art computer system allows Verve to showcase artists’ portfolios online, to the benefit of the patron, the artist and the gallery itself. Patrons are able to peruse Verve’s entire inventory on a large LCD monitor, allowing them to view an entire body of work and inspect the work on file with comfort and ease. Artists are able to share high end digital files of their photography with Verve rather than consigning an entire body of work. The gallery is able to utilize space most efficiently by storing entire portfolios in Verve’s digital database.
The gallery offers office space for VerveLabs, exhibition space for Verve Gallery of Photography, as well as select images from Scheinbaum & Russek’s exceptional inventory of master works of photography.
