NEW ONLINE EXHIBITIONS

The following exhibitions have been added to Luminous-Lint with the assistance of collectors, photographers, galleries and public institutions:

Examining themes
  • Portraits: Dancers takes us through the history of dance photography. If you have access to additional examples in your collections I would be most interested. alan@luminous-lint.com

    "So to your pleasures,
I am for other than for dancing measures."

    William Shakespeare (1564–1616)
(As You Like It, act 5, sc. 4, l. 92-3.)

  • Portraits: Parts of body - Hands continues a series that started with portraits from the back and will build into a photographic body map showing each part through history. So if you have ideas for photographs of eyes, feet and ears that should be included send them through.

LUMINOUS-LINT
FINE PHOTOGRAPHY BLOG

There is now a blog available for those who like to receive their fine photography news in a different format. I can think of quite a number of readers of this newsletter who have expressed an interest in participating in this so please do - if you have a particular speciality such as real photo postcards, albums, early processes, what‘s on in a particular town, anecdotes on photohistory, conservation issues and would like to participate in helping the wider community let me know and I‘ll arrange it. If you have a public information piece you would like to share with the community send it through. Exhibition announcements are included elsewhere on the website but reviews of photobooks and exhibitions are most welcome.
