Etched into the plate are written the words G Wilson, July 8, 1853. The gentleman is seated with his arm resting on an American made chamfered box quarter plate size daguerreotype camera which is turned on it's side. Only the chain and winder of his pocket watch shows across his vest. (Matt Isenburg)
