A boy, man, and sitting-up dog pose in a cornfield in this postcard promoting Bowker's Fertilizer. Note the misspelling on the signs as "ferterlizer." John G. Utterback received a typed note on the card: "This picture was taken on the 20th of June. You will notice that there are 4 rows left where no ferterlizer had been used. This should convince you that there is something in ferterlizing. If you are thinking about using ferterlizer this fall, I would be glad to have your order." Signed H. T. Stout, RR#3. Postmarked August 21, 1909 from Crawfordsville.
