01-05 I began in the 1991 workshop working with photograms to learn the process. We were in Sudre’s Lacoste studio in the Luberon surrounded by herbes and the landscape so it was natural to start with le fenouil. Almost immediately I added the square little boxes to the images and by print #5, I was trying to save the veils…I kept good notes and little drawings of each attempt? Throughout the years, as I continue to explore new paper combinations, I often use the fennel still. I even planted some outside my darkroom when I moved to California in 1992.
