In reference to this image Chaldej stated: "This is the first flag I raised. It was at Tempelhof Airport. The head is the only thing left of this sculpture of the Reich's eagle. Today it stands on a pillar in front of the airport. The Americans had set up the statue of the entire bird in one of their museums, but in 1985 they brought back the head and scrapped the rest".
