Triumph Of Art. One of the most remarkable works of art ever accomplished, was done in this city on the day of the eclipse. Mr. Root, the well-known daguerreotypist, assisted by Prof. Loomis of the University, and Mr. Campbell, (who has a fine observatory in Sixteenth street,) succeeded in making large and very accurate daguerreotype views of the different phases of the eclipse. These fine pictures of course far more accurate than the very best of drawings can be seen at Mr. Root's Gallery, No. 383 Broadway.
