Willoughby Wallace Hooper
Art. VIII -- the Famine in India - Its Severity
The Missionary Review (Princeton, N.J.), Vol.I, No.I, January-February 1878, p.37.
The Times of India says:
"Captain Hooper has been taking photographs of a number of the types of starved people brought to the camp. He one evening selected seven persons whom he wished to photograph, but the light not being favorable he said he would come in the morning and photograph them. The next morning-he came, and found that they had all died during the night."
