The Obelisk of Ramesses II located Piazza del Popolo in Rome. The obelisk was carved during the reign of Sety I (1290 to 1279 BCE) and erected by his son Ramesses II. It was brought to Rome in 10 BCE on the orders of Augustus and originally set up in the Circus Maximus being moved to the Piazza del Popolo in 1589.
