Photograph of the elephant used by the Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII, during his 1875-76 tour of India. The elephant is facing right and is wearing a large embroidered cloth and an open-air howdah. There is an attendant standing to either side of the elephant and a camp behind.
 
This is one of a series of photographs from a published volume documenting the tour.
