Photograph of ruins of an ancient Egyptian temple with hieroglyphics. The author of the volume has written below the photograph 'on the square pillars are pictured the Divinities receiving R2 (Ramesses II): behind is the story of his childhood'; possibly this is a reference to the Temple of Seti.
