| Louis Jacques Mandé Daguerre Daguerre 1848 Daguerreotype National Museum of American History, Smithsonian Institution LL/35511 This Daguerreotype has a perfect provenence passing from the Meade family to the New York photographer Abraham Bogardus and from him to the collector G. Cramer who gifted it to the Smithsonian where it is now in the National Museum of American History.
