[Source: Facebook, 26 May 2014] A letter from Captain George Alexander Harrisson to his sister Lilly written on 29 April 1866, in which he informs her that 'Henry and I were photographed by Silvy in a group on Friday. I will send you one from Paris as they will not be ready till Tuesday.' He then goes on to explain exactly how a carte-de-visite sitting was conducted, complete with a diagram of the resulting negative, before concluding 'For your future guidance and my mother's especially!!!' with an itemisation of Disdéri's charges.
