Landscape view of the ancient remains of the city of Pompeii; label states 'The West side of the Street of Tombs with the remains of the Ancient Inn'. A cobbled street is seen on the right side of the image, bordered by (possibly) pavements. The archaeological remains of structures in stone are on either side of the street. The land rises to the left where thin trees in a woodland are seen, some silhouetted along the ridge of the hill.
