Photograph of Sirdars from Jaipur. There are seventeen men arranged in two rows, with the front row seated. They are wearing long embroidered robes and turbans and most are holding a sword. There is a painted wall behind, with a figure in traditional dress painted to the far right.
 
This is one of a series of photographs from a published volume documenting the tour the Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII, made of India in 1875-76. High-ranking noblemen from the wider region gathered in Jaipur during the Prince's visit.
