Accompanying text in book:

"Photos 4 + 5 recall to mind former heroes of the sport of rugby union, a team game played by most male Fijians. The game was introduced into Fiji in the Twenties from New Zealand and quickly took hold. By the later Thirties a Fiji Rugby side was able to tour New Zealand, playing various provinces and the New Zealand Maoris. They contested thirteen matches and were undefeated, winning"

Further comment by Ginnie Marlow (May 2007):

"Rugby is the main sport in Fiji and Fiji are still World Champions."
