Photograph of Maria Feodorovna, Empress of Russia (1847-1928) and Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna (1875-1960). Maria Feodorovna is standing in the open window of a log hut. Grand Duchess Xenia is sitting in front of the hut to the left, her left arm raised to hold her mother's hand. There is a hat on the bench beside her to the left and a painted backdrop behind. Grand Duchess Xenia Alexandrovna was the eldest daughter of Alexander III, Emperor of Russia and his consort Maria Feodorovna, Empress of Russia.
