Suspected of Poisoning her Husband in the well publicized case called "The Pimlico Mystery". A strange marital union with interruptions of another lover for her and a very complex death scenario for him have historically left the case open to debate. Bartlett was acquitted of poisoning her husband with chloroform which was the sole cause of death.
