Publication: Tour in the East: Photographic Pictures Made by Mr. Francis Bedford [while accompanying His Royal Highness, The Prince of Wales]', Day, London, 1862
Notes: An early and scarce photograph photographed on March 31, 1862 by English photographer Francis Bedford, who, at the invitation of Queen Victoria, traveled with the Prince of Wales (Edward VIII) on a tour of the Middle East in the early 1860s. In 1863, 172 of the photographs were exhibited, in large format, at the German Gallery in New Bond Street. The photographs were published in the four volume "Photographic Pictures made by Mr. Francis Bedford during the Tour in the East, in which ... he accompanied ... the Prince of Wales" (London: Day & Son, 1863). The photograph is signed in the negative by Bedford.
