Some pencil notations on the verso in Misonne's hand, and pencil notation by his grandson certifying the authenticity [this is typical of the vintage Misonne prints that become available in recent years.]
Misonne's photographs are always subtle and never dramatic. Those with lonely figures and other romantic details are more popular, but these exquisite subtle pure landscapes are the essence of his artistry, and reward sustained and repeated viewing. The tones move from darker greens in the lower right towards even more delicate tones in the back and across the river.
