I] 1857 (ca) Albumen print 31.5 x 41.5 cm (image) The Royal Collection RCIN 2700024 LL/93196 Photograph of the facade of the Royal Palace of Madrid, built in 1755, taken from the courtyard. The centre of the building has a balustrade supported by four Ionic columns above which is a clock flanked by two reliefs of the sun, the top of which has a small bell surrounded by ornate ironwork. On the ground stands a horse and carriage and a sentry box on the far right.
