(Beverly Wilgus, 6 August 2021) When I bought this Half Plate (about 5 1/2" X 6 1/4") daguerreotype the dealer told me that it was a photograph of Edward Amos Hartwell with his family. He said that it was made in San Francisco, California in 1855. It is less than perfect condition but with nine people it is our largest group daguerreotype.
