No reference has yet been found suggesting that Richard Harmer either charged for, or prosecuted photographers for using his British patent technique (1856, No. 2832, "Stereoscopic Pictures"). Given that other photographic lawsuits on larger issues were not particularly successful in this era, perhaps it wasn’t worth his effort.
