Curatorial description (Engin Özendes, 4 March 2016):
Mushir Arif Pasha, assistant governor of Edirne, heard that the two wrestlers were on bad terms, and to reconcile them arranged for this photograph to be taken. To seal the peace, a wrestling match was organised between them at Sarayiçi in Edirne.
