Photograph of the view from the terrace of the Hussainabad Imambara, Lucknow. In the foreground there are gardens and a long rectangular pond. There are two large and ornate buildings beyond, both in the Islamic architectural style with domes and minarets.

This is one of a series of photographs from a published volume documenting the tour the Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII, made of India in 1875-76. The Hussainabad Imambara, also known as Chota Imambara, is a mausoleum and one of the most recognisable buildings in the city.

Presented to Alexandra, Princess of Wales by her husband the Prince of Wales at Christmas 1876
