(John Quin) From a large collection of glass stereoviews that belonged to Dr William Gardiner Anglin (1856 - 1934) who lectured at Queens University in Kingston, Ont. photo circa 1905.
 
Title "Near Damascus, Palestine" at that time part of the Ottoman Empire. Damascus became the capital of Syria when the Kingdom of Syria was created after the defeat of the Ottoman Empire during WW1.
