The Japanese photographer worked for UPI. He died covering Cambodia in 1970. He won the "World Press Photo of the Year" in 1965 and won the Pulitzer Prize for Photography in 1966. In 1966 he also won the "World Press Photo of the Year" award, for this very photograph. "The body of a Viet Cong solder is dragged behind an armored vehicle en route to a burial site."
