"Tom Courtenay had been filming, the role of revolutionary leader Pasha Antipov, in Dr Zhivago I photographed him on a dismal winters day. I remember we walked along The Embankment he was feeling very blue - I think he was in pain. I did not manage to get him to smile even though I said cheese many times. I think he had fallen in love with his 'leading lady' I do not remember who he said she was." Angela Williams
