View across rooftops spreading into the distance towards far hills. A spire is visible in the centre of the photograph, towards the background. The 18-years-old Prince of Wales (future King Edward VII) visited Cincinnati in September 1860 during a four-month tour throughout Canada and the United States of America. It is likely that he acquired this photograph at the time of his visit to the city.
