Photograph of Pathan Chiefs and attendants. There are eleven men arranged in a group, some seated and others standing. All are wearing long robes and turbans and several are holding a sword. There is a building behind with two large arches and a door to the far left.
 
This is one of a series of photographs from a published volume documenting the tour the Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII, made of India in 1875-76. Included in the album are a group of photographs of local people.
