Prince Gaston d'Orléans, Comte d'Eu, and his younger brother, Ferdinand d'Orléans, Duc d'Alenþon, were sons of the Duc de Nemours, and therefore nephews of the Prince de Joinville and the Duc d'Aumale. The young princes are seen here wearing the uniform of the Spanish 'Husares de la Princesa.'
