Daguerreotype portrait of a Gaddan indian named Poutot, from the town of Alamo. He has a harpoon spear in his hand and an aligua [Spanish spelling for "Aliwa", head-axe] in the other. This portrait with the following two were taken in Manila by order of the Hon. Mr. D. Narciso de Clavería.
