Advertising piece made in the form of a large book of matches - each match pictures the Daniels and Fisher Tower plus Jafay´s well known signature. Jafay was known world-wide for his master portraits of thousands of people from Miss Americas to President Eisenhower, Vice-President Humphrey and many other notable politicians and celebrities. Born in Berlin, Germany (1918) and came to America at the age of 20, with only his camera and a trunk. Over the years he further developed his talent to become one of the greatest photographers in the world. Photography was his passion, his hobby, his art, his true love. Every image had a quality, look and feel that only a Jafay photograph could have. He was one of the few in his field who mastered every aspect of photography and could take an image from film to canvas. Jafay, who was inducted into the Photography Hall of Fame, photographed more than 70,000 women over his career.
