In a recent journal we have observed reports of four cases of poisoning in children, by the introduction of visiting cards into the mouth. They all recovered, though the symptoms were of an alarming oharacter. It should be generally known, that in the manufacture of cards, in the enamelling and coloring, various salts of arsenic, copper and lead are used, which are capable of producing very serious sickness and even death. Children should not be allowed to play with them.
