Notes: Angerer founded one of the first photographic studios in Vienna but previously had made some of the first photographs of Bucharest, including this example showing the Antim area of the city. The print is mounted with trimmed corners and a series of handsome black surrounds. The mount is marked 'Photographirt 1856' '; v.Ludwig Angerer' and 'Bukarest.'
