| William Edward Kilburn Head of Young Woman 1851 (pencil inscription) Daguerreotype, 1/4 plate Collection of Michael G. Jacob LL/56601 Unsealed. Very clean, heavy, brass-hinged case stamped 'By “By Appointment. Mr Kilburn. 234 Regent Street.” Unusual copy of a fine pencil and chalk drawing with pencil inscription b/l/h corner which reads: 'Geo. Richmond. 1851'. This drawing by the society artist, George Richmond, is very similar to his famous Charlotte Brönte sketch in the National Portrait Gallery, London.
